P.O.P.S.S. works equally well for Brokers, Producers and Manufactures, but different types of companies will use the system in different ways to meet their specific business requirements.  The system can be implemented in different combinations of modules.  Also, some modules can be run independently while other modules are dependent on another one in order to be implemented themselves.

Spec Processing can be run by itself, independent of any other module. Cost Estimating can also be run independently.  The General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable can be run as a group without other related modules.  The other modules for Order Entry, Bill of Material, Purchasing and Receiving, Product Tracking, Job Costing and Analysis, Shipping and Billing are integrated with each other and with Spec Processing, Cost Estimating, and the Accounting modules.

The SPEC PROCESSING Configuration includes:
System Controller, Spec Processing.
Spec Processing can be a stand alone implementation.

The COST ESTIMATING Configuration includes:
System Controller, Cost Estimating.
Cost Estimating can be a stand alone implementation.

The ACCOUNTING Configuration includes:
System Controller, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Financial Reporting. The Accounting configuration can be run as an independent group implementation.

COMPLETE CONFIGURATION
The complete P.O.P.S.S. configuration is a complete business application software system designed specifically for the POP Display business and reflects the flow of a Job through your business, from Spec Entry, through Purchasing and the Bill of Material, through Production Tracking, to Shipping, Billing and Job Costing and Analysis.

The complete configuration includes the System Controller, Spec Processing, Cost Estimating, Order Entry and Customer Order Processing, Inventory Management and Bill of Material, Purchase Order Processing and Receiving, Production Tracking, Job Cost Analysis, Shipping, Billing and Sales History, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Financial Reporting, and User Setup and Security.

Beyond the “stand-alone” modules, the standard configuration for P.O.P.S.S. provides the benefit of integrating the various departments of your company.   Redundant data entry and its accompanying potential for errors is eliminated.  Information entered into one module is immediately available to the other modules.  Job changes can be seen immediately by all parties.  Inter-company communications are improved via the network.
